Ceylon tea is made of tea that is grown in the country of Sri Lanka. This Island nation was previously known as “Ceylon” in the British Colonial times. Since those times, Ceylon tea is well known for it’s high quality and distinct flavor. It is often being described as a beverage that has a brighter liquor and a refreshing taste. Tea is being produced from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Tea plants are grown at higher elevations in the central province and in lower elevations in the southern provinces of Sri Lanka. These teas are well known for their unique tastes and aromas as they’re being influenced by the various climate and soil conditions from different regions of the country. Ceylon tea is is also being enjoyed by people all over the world and is considered to be one of the finest teas available.
Ceylon Tea is categorized into three main types – Black Tea, Green Tea, and White Tea.
