Side Effects of Ceylon tea?

Like all types of tea, Ceylon tea can have some potential side effects when consumed in excess. The most common side effects of consuming too much tea is caffeine-related. While there are health benefits from Tea consumption, excess consumption has it’s own after effects.

Almost all Teas, including Ceylon tea, contains caffeine, which can cause a variety of side effects when consumed in excess, such as nervousness, irritability, insomnia, and an increased heart rate. It is generally recommended to consume no more than 300 milligrams of caffeine per day. One cup of Ceylon tea contains approximately 60 milligrams of caffeine, so it is important to keep track of your caffeine intake if you are sensitive to caffeine or if you are consuming large amounts of tea.

It is also a good idea to speak with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns after consuming tea in excess.
